HIGH quality leveling staffs are as important as the level itself to the result of a leveling job. The Leica GKNL4M bar code rod is ideally suited for use with precise optical or digital levels in critical laboratory, workshop, or civil engineering environments. The GKNL4M is a 3-section rod constructed of a light weight but heavy-duty hollow polymer. The lengthy connecting surfaces are of a thick aluminum extrusion, and a robust locking mechanism holds the sections firmly and accurately in place. One side of the rod is graduated in meters and centimeters (4 meters total) in the familar E-pattern, while the other side features the bar code pattern which can be read by any vintage of digital level. An attached rod level helps insure verticality of the rod for maximum accuracy. This particular rod is in excellent condition and comes with the rod level, and a heavy duty canvas carrying case.
