| This is a model 5081 K&E engineers's transit, 100% complete and in excellent operating condition. It was made in the 1940s, and comes with original wood case (not pictured). We have completely disassembled the instrument and cleaned , re-lubed, and re-fitted all moving parts. The circles have been regrained, and the exposed brass parts are polished and laquered. We have chosen not to repaint areas that were originally painted and where substantial paint still remains because, after all, this IS an antique!
