This is an essential piece of equipment for high rise construction in situations where you may be unable to set up a conventional tripod for your Laser or other leveling instrument. The column clamp attaches to a round or rectangular column and is held securely in place with a belt and ratchet mechanism. An elevating center post aids positioning of your instrument. Unfortunately, no one makes these any more (to my knowledge). The last ones we were able to obtain new (from LCI) cost well over $400. | |||||||||||
| This particular unit was manufactured by Spectra Physics, and is very ruggedly built of all iron and aluminum construction. It is well used, but in great operating condition, and comes fitted with a standard 3-1/2x8 thread.
