This Gurley Model 76 transit dates from the turn of the century and is in very good condition for its age. The model 76 appears in our copy of the 1908 Gurley catalog, and we date its manufacture at approximately 1910. It is 100% complete and operational, with crisp crosshairs and optics. We have completely disassembled this instrument for servicing, and now all the components work smoothly and accurately. We calibrated it while we were at it, as well. The finish looks very cool as it is, so we didn't mess with it. It comes complete with the original dust cap and carrying case. The wood carrying case is in decent condition, and could be nicely restored, if you are so inclined. Offered at $1450. Please write or call us (562-426-1306) with any questions.
