All of the features and look of an "old style" open transit in a light weight, compact package. Mountain transits were designed as a more portable option (for easier personal transport) as compared to full-sized models. These instruments are also step up from level transits in that they plumb more accurately, have 5x the angle measuring accuracy, and have a full compass (compared to the David White 8300, for example). This particular instrument is in excellent+ conditon, cosmetically and functionally. Even the case looks great! It will be completely serviced for you, calibrated, and warranteed for 1 year. Comes complete with case, strap, sunshade, dust cap, tools, plumb bob, and a copy of the original owners manual.
