If your Nikon Station is pre-Bluetooth, you will want to be able to move data from the station to a data cfollector via basic RE232 cable, or to a PC with the aid of an RS232-to-USB cable with in-line convertor. The cables commonly sold like that on eBasy and elsewhere with integral convertor don't always work, depending on your operating system or other factors such as whether the convertor driver is properly licensed by Prolific. We sell the basic RS232 calble separately, and also bundled with a conversion module that actually works.

To effectively use and convert the exported data, you may want a program called CONNEX, offered by TDS many years ago. It hasn't been updated since then but we are using it right now with Windows 7, and many people have told us the have gotten it to function with newer operating systems.

Newer stations with integral USB host or client generally allow you to export files to PC, data collector, or thumb drive in a usuable format (other than Nikon RAW), You can also try the free Trimble Data Transfer utility, but of course, you get what you pay for.
