PATH L-11 TILT LEVEL WITH OPTICAL MICROMETER

The Path L-11 is a precise tilt level manufactured in Japan in the '60s. In later years, a portion of this company spun off to become Geotec, later acquired by Pentax; the remainder (still using the Path name) made quality instruments imported and sold by David White to supplement their American-made product line. This is the first of this model we have seen in person. It is well designed and made, and features quality Japanese optics. The 28x telescope has an erect (upright) image, so you don't have to stand on your head to use it, like with those pesky European models! The telescope (coincidence) vial has a hair-splitting sensitivity of 10", and is viewed simultaneously with the sighted target through the telescope eyepiece. The integral optical micrometer has metric graduations. Cosmetically, the L-11 is in good overall condition, although there are some missing paint spots (no gouges or dents!); operationally, the instrument is in excellent shape, and has been completely serviced and calibrated in our own repair department. If you need accuracy, but don't want to shell out the big $$ for a Wild N2 or N3, this could be the instrument for you! Path L-11 with metal case..just SOLD! | |||||||||||
